AGM 2024-2025 A chance to reflect on the last 12 months

ree

We had a fantastic Annual General Meeting on the 30th of October 2025, and I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who attended. This year’s AGM was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together — and to look forward to what’s next for our Charity and the Neston community.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow, adapt and deliver services that make a real difference to local people. Here are just some of the highlights we shared at the AGM:

Launching Our Hospital Discharge Support Service

We were proud to launch our new Hospital Discharge Support Service, designed to help residents return home safely and confidently after a hospital stay. This vital service has already started to make a real impact — offering practical help and reassurance at a time when it’s needed most.

Strengthening Our Team

To support our expanding work, and as a result of funding from The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, we welcomed our new Operations Manager, Barry, who brings valuable experience and energy to the team. We also introduced Volunteero, our new volunteer management system, making it easier than ever for volunteers to get involved, stay connected and track their hours and activities.

And speaking of volunteers — we cannot thank you enough. Your commitment and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.

Empowering Young Voices

We’ve continued to support the development of the Young Voices group, giving young people in our community a platform to share their ideas, contribute to projects and shape the future of local initiatives.

Celebrating Community Spirit

In April 2024, we hosted the very first CH64 Community Volunteer Awards — an inspiring evening celebrating the amazing people who give their time and energy to make our area such a special place to live.

We also saw sell-out events at Neston Civic Hall, with community gatherings and performances bringing people together and highlighting the vibrancy of our local area.

Welcoming a New Trustee

We were delighted to welcome Lynn Bennoch to our Board of Trustees. Her experience and passion for community engagement will be a fantastic asset as we continue to grow and strengthen our organisation.

Thank You

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who makes our work possible — our dedicated volunteers, our talented staff team, our generous funders and donors, and our committed trustees. Every success we celebrate is down to your support, hard work and belief in what we do.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, our focus is on:

  • Securing capital funding for essential repair works at Neston Civic Hall

  • Supporting Neston Angels in their aim to become a self-funding service

  • Increasing promotion of our services through engaging videos and storytelling that showcase our impact and reach more people in need.

It’s been a year of progress, collaboration and community pride — and we’re excited for what’s to come. Together, we’ll keep building a stronger, more connected Neston.
