It is with a mixture of gratitude and fondness that we announce the departure of one of our longest-serving team members, Zaria, who has been an invaluable part of the NCYC family since 2016. As she sets sail towards new horizons, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible contributions she has made during her time with us.
Zaria has been at the helm of our Neston Angels befriending service, steering its growth and evolution with enthusiasm and dedication. What began as a simple initiative has flourished into a comprehensive support system for our older community members, all thanks to Zaria's visionary leadership. Over the years, she has not only coordinated but has taken the lead in expanding the service to include social groups, day trips, and engaging activities.
One of Zaria's standout achievements has been her coordination of the Neston Flicks community cinema. This popular initiative has become a cornerstone of our community, providing not only entertainment but also fostering a sense of togetherness. Zaria's commitment to creating enjoyable and inclusive events has brought joy to many, leaving an enduring mark on our community.
Those who have had the pleasure of working with Zaria can attest to her unwavering passion for supporting older people. Her caring and kind nature have not only made her perfect for her role but have also touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Zaria's ability to connect on a personal level and create a warm, welcoming environment has been the heart and soul of the Neston Angels service.
As we bid farewell to Zaria, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her years of service, dedication, and the positive impact she has had on the NCYC community. While we will miss her deeply, we also recognize that this departure marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her journey.
Zaria will be leaving NCYC at the end of March 2024 to pursue new opportunities, and we wholeheartedly wish her the very best for the future.
