Update: CH64 Community and Volunteer Awards 2024 - Who's your community hero?

In response to feedback we've made some alterations to the CH64 Community and Volunteer Awards:


We've extended the deadline for nominations: We have already received some fantastic nominations however we are extending the close date to make sure everyone gets the opportunity to nominate! Nominations will now close 5pm Sunday 11th February 2024.


We've changed the information required to make a nomination: We don't want anything to prevent people from nominating so all you need is the name of the person you want to nominate and a brief reason why. You can still nominate by email or in person at Neston Community Youth Centre or Shop4Neston.

We want to know!

NCYC and Shop4Neston have joined forces to celebrate and thank the wonderful volunteers and community heroes that make CH64 the amazing place it is.


Please nominate your community hero by emailing Awards@nestoncyc.org.uk with the person’s name, contact details (if you have them), nomination category and reason for nomination or pop into Shop4Neston or Neston Community Youth Centre to complete a paper form.


Nominations close 5pm Sunday 11th February 2024.

Inspiring Individual Award

Do you know someone who stands out for their dedication, kindness and leadership? This person consistently volunteers their time and effort to make a positive impact on our community. Their kindness, innovative initiatives and genuine concern for others makes them a true inspiration.


Community Pride Award

Do you know someone who actively works to make our community better. This person has a strong sense of responsibility by volunteering, leading projects and going the extra mile for our community. The award recognises individuals who contribute to a sense of unity, pride and a thriving community spirit.


Business in the Community Award

Do you know a local business that goes above and beyond in making a positive impact in our community. This business not only delivers excellent products or services but actively contributes to the well-being of the community. This award aims to recognise and encourage their valuable contributions to the betterment of our community.


Young Person Award

Do you know a young person who stands out for their dedication to our community. This person not only volunteers their time but also actively contributes to the positive change within the community. Whether this is organising events, supporting local causes or inspiring others, their selfless efforts make a meaningful impact.


Sports and Arts Award

This award honours a sports or arts organisation for its exceptional contributions. The award acknowledges their role in bringing people together and positively impacting our community through sports and arts initiatives.


Unsung Hero Award

Do you know someone who quietly and selflessly makes a positive impact on our community. This person may not seek recognition but their dedication to community and voluntary efforts sets them apart. The award acknowledges their invaluable contributions, often behind the scenes, and honours their commitment to making a difference. The award aims to shine a light on these unsung heroes, celebrating their significant role in enhancing the well being of our community through their volunteer and community work.
