Service Description

At the beginning of 2023, 3D Training was awarded a new Multiply Contract. Multiply is a new government funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills. Having good numeracy skills can help unlock new job opportunities and potentially lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. Numeracy skills also help in everyday life and due to the current cost of living crisis for some it can be an essential skill to help with planning and budgeting money. Here are just some reasons why having numeracy skills can help you… • Staying in control of your finances • Improving your career • Knowing good from bad offers • Managing bills and money • Problem solving • Technology Numeracy can be a daunting subject. Often adults may have negative feelings towards learning the subject. This may be due to experiences during school or the thought of numbers and formulas being overwhelming. However, 3D is delighted to have created a selection of courses to support adults to build confidence in maths, in an engaging, practical, useful, and fun way. Our next course ‘Feed your numeracy skills’ is going to be delivered at Neston Community Youth Centre enrolling on Tuesday 2nd October. This course will give you the skills and knowledge on how to create budgets, cook healthy nutritional meal at a lower cost and ways to save money. During the sessions you will receive ingredients and recipe cards to take home and put what you have learnt into practice! On completion of the course learners will receive a FREE air fryer or slow cooker! “I didn’t realise how much I used maths every day before coming on the course, and I have learnt so much and it has helped me so much to learn more about” Previous Multiply learner To eligible you need to be aged 19+ and living the Cheshire West and Chester area. You must not already have a GCSE at grade C in maths.
